The Passing of Time

"The Passing of Time" is my first published 3D mixed-techniques piece I've created for purely aesthetic reasons.

I used some partial scans from a trip to Napoli, Italy in 2017.

It is a convergence of photogrammetry and classic modelling techniques.

Scanning was not the goal while taking the photos and partial scans are the result of testing photogrammetry software (Meshroom) - what type of objects can be obtained from only a few photographs.

The skeleton is a 3D scan of Ligier Richier's 'Le Transi de Rene de Chalon' by Oliver Laric.

Artemis Ephesia statue partial scan created from photos taken at Museo Archeologico di Napoli.

The Statue visible through missing patches of the statue is a Realistic Female model by Kaneflame3d.

The building is another partial scan from photos taken at the top of Castel Sant'Elmo in Napoli.

The sky is a part of the image by Johannes Plenio. It was rotated by 180 degrees - normal and height textures were added.
